I USED TO THINK....

YEAR 7
 

TASK: Year 7 reflections at the end of an 11 week first term in Mathematics.

THINKING ROUTINE: I used to think.... but now I think... split into 3 different categories.

 

COMMENT ON EVIDENCE OF THINKING: By splitting up the routine to specifically ask them to reflect on each topic area and then their mathematical skills and abilities, it enabled me to see whether there was evidence of specific content growth or whether more revision was required. This class is the bottom of 5 and were receiving learning support within the classroom setting.

 

APPROPRIATENESS FOR YEAR GROUP: This routine was very suitable for the year 7 girls to be able to think critically and express their reflections in the above mentioned areas.
